To the south the Sheepscot River is waiting to greet you, to the east you will find a delightful tidal cove, and to the west you will find the deep waters of the Sheepscot River. Enjoy sunsets from your private dock, and water views from every bedroom. Watch the osprey from the screened in porch on the first floor, or enjoy a fabulous birds eye view of the river from the upstairs balcony. When you're ready to venture out, take in a game of tennis on the association courts just down the road. There's even a public boat launch available too.

3 miles down the road and you are at the Trevett Country Store where you can get supplies and some of the freshest lobster rolls around.

Just 4 miles down the road is the renown Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.

Barter's Island is reached by driving over a swing bridge that is opened by a hand crank. It is one of the last remaining hand crank bridges in the State of Maine. It opens on demand.

Trick's End Reviews

Rick, October 2020

We were extremely impressed by the property, it's location and the solitude it provided. We hope to return for a longer stay.

Conner, October 2020

We had an amazing 5 days at this property. You won’t believe the views until you are actually there. Also, the interior is lovely and the fireplace will lull you to sleep at night. Wendy was an awesome host and answered any of our questions in literally minutes. Hoping to have another opportunity to stay here again.

Johnna, September 2020

Our stay at Trick's End was exactly what we needed to 'unplug' from 6 months quarantine, working from home. The house is situated on a quiet point on the island with water views all around. We loved sitting on the upstairs deck when the weather was warm and the sun room downstairs when it was a bit colder. The gas fireplace was easy to operate and was also a cozy addition on cool September nights. The kitchen was well equipped and made doing most of our own cooking easy. We brought our dog and loved going for walks around the island, as well as discovering many of the Boothbay Region Land Trust Trails nearby. This place is a real gem and we hope to return!

Wonderful Vacation Spot - 5 stars

Tricks End was a comfortable home with a beautiful water view. Bedroom and bathroom set up perfectly suited our family of 6 adults and 1 small dog. Host thoughtfully provided everything needed to steam and eat fresh lobsters. Nice screened in porch was our de facto gathering spot for relaxation and putting together jig saw puzzles, and the dock offered a exceptional vantage point for nightly sunsets. One evening we even were treated to a seal herding fish for a meal. It almost felt like the property manager and owner made that happen too! We search for places along the Maine coast like this one, trying out different areas each year, and it was the best so far. Thank you.
