M&M Cottage Reviews

This cottage was in a quiet neighborhood and perfect location to downtown in the foot bridge. I would definitely consider staying here again. Wendi and Kim were very nice and easy to deal with.

The MM Cottage was perfect for our needs. The home had plenty of space and was close to the main center of Boothbay Harbor. It was very clean and the furnishings were eclectic but made the visit all the more special One thing I not recommend doing is going up to Acadia National Park it is a 2 1/2 hour drive then you drive in and around the park ao in the car most of the day. I love the park but just too far from Boothbay, a mistake on our part. So many things to do around Boothbay to do that no need to take that ride. We did the Cabbage Island Clambake which I highly recommend and love the shopping area in downtown Boothbay Harbor.

Though our kids are grown and this vacation was just the two of us, this house would clearly be great for families. The second floor is open with a camp cabin feel and several beds. I could just picture our kids their with friends and having a great time while we adults sat on one of the deck downstairs. We walked to the lobster wharf several times for our fill of lobster and steamers, and there's a shortcut path to the harbor footbridge, making it a short walk to the harbor. The house itself was very well kept, and the owner, who lived next door, sells great birdhouses!

The location and access to town made this house the perfect spot for our family of 5. Our boys 7, 9, 11 loved walking to town and kayaking. A short ride to little beaches completed our perfect Maine vacation.
