From mid-November through New Year`s Eve, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens hosts Gardens Aglow in its central garden every year. The botanical gardens are the largest in New England and put on the biggest display of over 650,000 Christmas lights. It also sells holiday gifts in the Gardenshop! Bring some cocoa and kettle corn for the ultimate drive-thru experience with friends and family!

Claw Down

CLAW DOWN attracts foodies and lobster lovers from across the country! Chefs battle it out with Maine`s beloved crustaceans to create the winning dish. Sourcing 2,500 lobsters from local lobster wharves to satiate lobster lovers` appetites. What began as a way to keep lobstermen afloat in a down season has become a highly anticipated culinary event. The 7th Annual Claw Down takes place on Thursday, September 20, at the Boothbay Railway Village. It`s also now part of the brand new, three-day Boothbay Food and Music Festival! Tickets are $70 per person and they sell out quickly. Admission includes lobster bites, wine, beer, and dessert, and post-competition musical performances. Cocktail attire is recommended. Stay tuned to the Claw Down Boothbay Harbor Facebook page for up-to-date information on event information and how to purchase tickets. Note: This event is for adults only. Ticket holders must be 21 years or older with valid ID.
