Bord de l'eau Reviews

My wife and I stayed at Doug's house for a week with our 4-year-old son and his grandparents. We enjoyed all the time we spent there. The location is extraordinary, with a wonderful terrace facing the fjord from which you can admire wonderful views of sunsets, lobster fishermen and seals barking in the evening. We can't thank Doug enough, who was kind enough to take us all out in his boat to show us how to catch lobsters in the cages he owns in front of the house. Our son will remember him forever. Wendy, who took care of the house during our stay, was a great help in giving us the right advices on Boothbay. Overall this is definitely a place where you want to come back!

I can’t think both Kim and Wendy enough for everything. They went above and beyond even when we arrived 6 hours late because of an emergency on the road. Their binder is full of wonderful recommendations and information about the area, the cabin is clean and well stocked with dishes, towels and blankets. The sunset is beautiful over the river, bring bug spray if you want to sit on the decks. We had a great time and hope to return next year!

Wendy and Kim were great to work with and after looking at quite of few properties we found two properties that worked well for our needs. Bord de l'eau was the smaller one for just us and another one for one when a sister and family joined us. Wendy even provided us with a large amount of info before we arrived including great suggestions for fish and meat retailers and wonderful places to swim. The deposit and payment process was easy and straight forward. The check in was smooth with everything in order upon our arrival. They even arranged a special trash pickup, and answered late evening questions on why the smoke alarm was going off, it turned out to be fog. Absolutely wonderful personalized service, we give them high marks and great praise for their service.
